It does false once in a while, but only because its super sensitive. I have turned K/X/MRCD OFF and only operate on KA. If you are a amateur radio operator, you will get notified in every possible way. I would like to give you a heads up, this system is for advanced users. The range is far superior and it integrates with the ALP. The system will do exactly what you tell it to do. The more smaller the road, the State LEO's dont use their batman equipment there. Just switch K off, preferably as you won't be speeding on smaller roads anyway. However, you need to roll your sleeves up as K band is like junk mail now. This is a good system, and I would have preferred if the system filtered everything on its own. If you learn how to filter the K and Ka bands, the system makes no noise except when there is a LEO. The system is good, even with autolearn there are falses. Here are key things I have enjoyed learning, I will start with the Escort system. Yes, a lot of visits to my local shop and I have truly kept everyone everywhere extremely busy. Then i switched to the Escort IXIC radar only system as I just got alerted on everything. I did have a net radar/DSP too for 2 years. Right now I have ALP for laser front and back etc. If you can’t visit the store during our regular business hours, send us an e-mail using our contact form and we’ll arrange for a consultation.Thought I share my remote radar experiences with you. If you are shopping for a speeding ticket protection system, we invite you to visit Adrenaline Autosound in Clayton and speak with one of our Product Specialists. He was thrilled with the work and excited to get out on the road to see how it performs. Upon his arrival at the shop, we gave him a tour of the installation and offered a thorough explanation of how to use the system. With the radar detector installation complete and the system test done, we called the client to let him know he could pick up his Maserati. We finished the pod in a satin black paint that matches the blacked-out area on the windshield to complete the integrated look. We sculpted ABS plastic to form a housing, then opened up a mount for the control panel. In order to make the controller for the system inconspicuous yet easily accessible, we created a small mounting pod that attaches to the OEM trim bezel just above the rearview mirror. Custom Controller Installation The custom fabricated controller mount was mounted above the rearview mirror. This Tx sensor is mounted in the center of the grille and features three transmitters to help deal with hard-to-jam guns like the dreaded DragonEye.Īs always, the wiring for the antennae and sensors is protected with automotive-grade cloth tape, and everything is routed carefully and secured so that it won’t interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle. We added a third sensor to the front of the vehicle. We mounted two sensors on the rear of the vehicle and another pair in the front grille. Next on the menu was the installation of the laser sensor modules. In case you are curious, radar signals will pass through the plastic bumper covers with almost no attenuation. We mounted dedicated front and rear Net Radar DSP antennae directly to the vehicle to provide optimal X, K and Ka-band radar sensitivity. Our installation started with removing the front and rear bumper covers to provide unhindered access to the chassis. Protective tape was used to help protect the paint on the areas we came in contact with.
